    The first video entitled “Women’s Ideal Body Types Throughout History” discussed the history of beauty standards itself. I found that there are several beauty standards based on the era: 1. Ancient Egypt Characteristics : -Slender -Narrow Shoulders -Highwaist -Symmetrical face 2. Ancient Greece Characteristics: -Women were considered “disfigured” versions of men -Light skin 3. Han Dynasty Characteristics: -Slim waist -Pale skin -Large eyes -Small feet 4. Italian Renaissance Characteristics: -Rounded stomach -Full hips -Fair skin 5. Victorian England Characteristic: -Women wore corsets to achieve the ideal body shape. 6. Roaring Twenties Characteristics: -Flat-chested -Short bob hairstyle -Boyish figure 7. Golden age of Hollywood Characteristics: -Large breasts -Slim waist 8.Swinging sixties Characteristics: -Thin -Long, slim legs 9.Era supermodel Characteristics: -Athletic -Tall 10. Heroin chic Characteristics: -Extremely thin -Translucent skin -Waifish, means (of a young person) thin and looking unhealthy or uncared for. -Androgynous means are partly male and partly female in appearance. 11. So, I think the source is trustworthy.

    The video explains the origins of the first beauty contest from the West. In 1952 Eric Morley, presenter and businessman from England, held a bikini contest as a series of events at the Festival of Britain. Due to the success of the event, the media called this contest Miss World. In 1952 the United States held Miss USA and Miss Universe, which has become one of the largest beauty contests in the world. We must realize that the main promoters of these beauty contests are the West. That is why we are very oriented to the west. This could enter Indonesia because it was exposed to the post-colonial virus. The figure of the elite is shown through a white, tall, thin figure which later permeates the post-colonial mental realm and is translated by simple size through physical size.

She agrees that if in a beauty contest there are specific criteria for choosing someone who looks attractive, that is one of the criteria especially in a beauty contest it will definitely be a criterion. However, it is not only a matter of physicality but also a matter of intelligence which is the criterion for choosing a winner
