    This video discuss about how habit can occur. Habits emerge through three stages, namely: trigger, behaviour, reward, and then repeat those activities. For example like “”see food, eat food, feel good”” and repeat. This video also discuss about how to change our old habits into a new one.
  2. What is the speaker’s main purpose? Explain your answer.
    The speaker main purpose is to help us to change our old bad habit into a brand new good habit. To change or find a new habit we need to have an interest first, so we have our own willingness and we will not having any unpleasant feelings in doing those activities. And those willingness is supported by curiosity. When we get curious, we step out of our old habit pattern, and we step into a new one. And things we can do to perpetuate one of our endless and exhaustive habit loops is just be curiously aware of what’s happening in your body and mind.

    I think this video is trustworthy enough because the speaker here, Judson Brewer (a psychiatrist) have already done a scientific research about this topic before he give a speech.

    The speaker said that “”with the same brain processes we’ve gone from learning to survive to literally killing ourselves with these habits””. From that sentences I know that the speaker is not agree when we have a same activities everyday, he want us to find a different activities everyday.

    The speaker have a valid argument because he support it with his own research on his own field, that is psychiatrist. The speaker is a well-known psychiatrist so I think that his research is reliable enough.

    The video discuss about how habit can have such a big impact in our life. Habit is not a decision in our life, but it is the things that we do unconsciously.
  2. What is the speaker’s main purpose? Explain your answer.
    When we have a habit, we repeatedly doing the same activities everyday. We don’t need to think about it because it has become our routine and it automatically happen. So it’s like our brain is turned off. The speaker said that when we have a habit we will do “”the habit loops””, and it is: cue, routine, rewards, and then repeat. So to have a good habits we need to find the cue and then the rewards at the end of the activities. For example, you hate exercise but you want to have exercise everyday. What you need is a cue, let’s say put some exercise tools in your room, and then this cue will trigger you to do the activity or to exercise. And at the end of the exercise you need to reward yourself, let’s say you love chocolate, then give yourself a chocolate. That way, you can have a good habits and daily routine.

    The speaker is Charles Duhigg and he use his own books entitled “”The Power of Habit”” as a source on his speech. And the book has won the Pulitzer Prize award (an award for achievements in newspaper, magazine, online journalism, literature and musical composition within the United States). So, I think that this book is trustworthy enough

    The speaker is agree that habit is having a big influence in our lives. The speaker argues that much of our lives is ruled by unconscious habits, good and bad, but that by becoming consciously aware of thecues that trigger our habits and the rewards they provide, we can change bad practices into good ones

    To support his argument, the speaker has done several experiment with rats. He made the rats in doing the same activities everyday, which he placed the rats on a side of a room and place a food on the other side. Then, he examine rats behaviour everyday. On the first time, the rats struggling in finding the food and has to think harder to get there. But, the rats gradually remember the same pattern to go to the food, and as a result it can reach to that place without any problem and without thinking twice.

    The speaker is trying to tell us that everyone has the ability to change their lives. And one way to make a change in our lives is by developing a habit. Don’t simply try to make a big change all at once. Sometimes improving your lives comes about as many small changes, and not one drastic change. And all habits that you have, good or bad, are a results of many small decisions you’ve made overtime.

    The speaker is David Navins, a senior at Crushing Academy from New York. And he using his own experience as a source of his speech, and I think that is not reliable enough.

    The speaker is agree that habit can change our lives. The speaker said that changes is something that anyone can accomplish if they’re willing to put the work in and if they’re actually willing to do what it takes in order to complete the change.

    The speaker support his argument with his own experience and also his friends experience, and I think this is not strong enough because there is no real study on it.

    The speaker want to tell us that the truth it that our ability to follow through on our best intentions to get into a new habit, for example like exercise or to change our behaviour in anyway doesn’t actually depend on the reasons we might do it or on the depth of our beliefs that we should do so. It doesn’t depends on our understanding of the benefits of particular behaviour or even on the strength of our willpower. It depends on our willingness to be bad at our desired behaviour. For example like if we think that we are bad at exercise, we might not doing it. So, the most important aspect in developing our habit is a good motivation.

    The speaker is Cristine Carter, a sociologist. And she using his own experience as a source of her speech, and I think that is not reliable enough.

    The speaker agree that everyone can change their lives by just developing a small habit that goes on everyday.

    The video discuss about simple strategies to achieve small, medium, as well as really big hairy scary goals.

    The speaker want to tell us that we can accomplish all of our goal if we really put some work on it. And to do that we have to get used to these things (always serious about what we aim for). In other words we must have the habit of doing things as much as we can.

    The speaker is Gerry Duffy, A professional speaker, writer and lover of extreme adventure sports. He has written two best selling books (Who Dares, runs and Tick Tock Ten). And I think this video is trustworthy enough because the speaker here has a big name and has been invited to address workforces of big companies such as Facebook, Google, Bank of America, and Coca Cola.

    The speaker said that if we have a good attitude or habit our daily life will also follow to be good. From this, I think that the speaker is agree that habit can have a big influence in our life.

    The speaker support his arguments using his own experience which filled with accomplishments such as running 32 marathon’ in 32 consecutive days and also completing a DECA Iron distance triathlon (24 mile swim, 1,160 mile bike and 262 mile run). Although that is a big accomplishments, there is no study on his arguments.

    This is a motivational video and the speaker is Bryan Burton. I don’t know whether the speaker is trustworthy or not because there’s no information about the speaker.

    In his speech the speaker said “Every new strong habit you make will plant a seed of success in your future. All these little seeds will grow overtime. Every action matters, every single day”. From that sentences I know that the speaker is agree that habit can determine how successful a person will be.

    The speaker seems agree that everyone can change their lives through habit, as he explained in his speech that everyone have the power to change their brain or lives.
