Talking about what do you like to play in the playground using the structures “What do you like?” and “I like to play…”

Target Vocab:

–          Playground equipment

e.g., see-saw, swings, slide, roundabout, sandpit, monkey bars, springy, climbing frame, rope bridge etc.

Review Vocab:

–          Subject

e.g., I, you, we, they, she, he

–          Verbs

e.g., like, play

–          Adverb

e.g., beside, above, next to, under

You will also need:

  • large sheets of paper

Notes:

This is a great energy burning lesson with lots of activities which introduces students to different equipment in the playground and uses simple present tense to ask and answer questions.

IMPORTANT: This lesson should be taught after the “Directions and Prepositions” lesson as it uses the preposition vocab from that lesson in the “What is in the playground?” board Game.
